Mr. Darnell Washington is recognized by industry peers ranging from Corporate CEOs to end users as a cybersecurity expert, thought leader, educator, public speaker, and entrepreneur specializing in the development, design, and implementation of commercial and industrial digital encryption and public key infrastructure (PKI) technologies internationally.
He holds US patents for cryptographic key generation systems and secure video encryption systems, most notably Credentialed High Assurance Encryption (CHAVE) commercially released in 2016. Since that date, he has worked with talented teams and partners to secure our nation from foreign and domestic cyber adversaries, focusing on high-risk systems for Defense, government, aerospace, enterprise commercial, and public and private organizations.
He is entrusted by the US Department of Homeland Security in several cybersecurity capacities with the office of the Chief Information CIO for data center migration strategy and as an instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). He developed solutions and strategies for risk mitigation of US Federal buildings and cyber-threats and trained federal, state, and local law enforcement in covert electronic surveillance, internet investigations, and forensic electronic search and seizure of digital assets.
With a passion to inspire youths and underserved minorities, he sponsors and hosts numerous philanthropic cybersecurity training initiatives with the National Cryptologic Foundation (NCF) and serves as the Sr. Training Advisor supporting training in the field of cryptography, and missions aligned with the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Defense (DoD).
In addition to serving on the board of advisors for NextgenID, he also serves on the board of directors of the Greater Augusta Chapter of the Chapter of Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), responsible for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the field of information technology, intelligence, and global security.
