Profile

COL Haffey is a native of Dearborn, Michigan. He received his commission in 1997 as a graduate of the ROTC program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida. COL Haffey holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science, a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management and is a graduate of the Army War College. He has a broad background in Army, NATO and Joint, tactical to strategic command and staff positions. He currently serves as the U.S. Army Capability Manager (ACM) for Tactical Radios (TR) and Networks and Services (N&S), Cyber Center of Excellence (Ft. Gordon, GA). His previous assignments include: Mission Command within Headquarters Department of the Army G8, Force Development (Pentagon); 369th Signal Battalion (Ft. Gordon); United States Southern Command (Miami, Florida); 2nd NATO Signal Battalion for Joint Forces Command (Naples, Italy); 112th Signal Battalion (Special Operations)(Airborne) (Fort Bragg, NC); 2nd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Fort Bragg); 5th Patriot, 7th Air Defense Artillery (Hanau, Germany); 440th Signal Battalion, (Darmstadt, Germany). COL Haffey’s deployments include: Operation Iraqi Freedom; Operation Enduring Freedom (Kandahar and Bagram); Operation Southern Watch (Saudi Arabia and Kuwait).
