AFCEA Greater Augusta Chapter Course: Borderland -- An Operational Technology Experiment

In 2025, recently Borderland - a workshop in Finland brought together members of academia, defense, government officials, private companies and investors to focus on developing a blueprint for operationalizing technology experimentation. Examples include 5g/6g, Drone Operations, Sensor Technologies, and Real-time Situational Awareness in the Modern Arctic Battlefield. The panel will discuss these opportunities emphasizing the cybersecurity challenges in each. Comparing to similar issues in the United States. Finally, there will an opportunity for collaboration and sharing contact information to solve these business cases.
