COL Renor S. Williams is the ACofS G6 for the III Armored Corps. He graduated from Texas A&M University Kingsville and entered active duty as a Second Lieutenant on 10 August 2001 in the United States Army Signal Corps.
Prior to becoming the III Armored Corps G6, COL Williams was the Commander at the DISA SOUTHCOM Field Office; where he was charged to defend, provide, operate, and assure the DoD Information Network (DoDIN) and enterprise solutions in order to provide global connectivity in support of the USSOUTHCOM Combatant Commander, Service Components, Joint Task Forces, coalition partners and other mission partners operating throughout the Southern Region.
Key assignments include ACofS G6, 25th Infantry Division (LI); Mission Command Training Program Deputy Chief Information Officer; Computer Information System Integrator, NATO Allied Transformation Command; ACofS Deputy G6, 10th Mountain Division (LI); NETOPS OIC, 10th Mountain Division (LI); Assistant Battalion S3, 53rd Signal Battalion; Battalion Signal Officer,
Task Force ODIN; Company Commander 16th Signal Battalion; Battalion Maintenance Officer, Executive Officer, and Platoon Leader, 16th Signal Battalion.
Over the course of his career, COL Williams has deployed numerous times in support of both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.COL Williams military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal
with two campaign stars, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, NATO Medal, and the Air Force Space Badge.
COL Williams has completed all of his required professional military education, with his most recent being the Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS). COL Williams was born in St. Croix US Virgin Islands. He is married to his wife Teresa, and they
have one child.
