Description

As we rapidly approach the new era of connected, intelligent systems, we need to consider their impact on user security and privacy. In this context, it is crucial to understand the role played by the hardware layer. In this talk, I will outline the various challenges to the hardware infrastructure that jeopardize the security of the overall system. I will also outline the role played by hardware components in enhancing the overall security and the key challenges that Edge compute devices face in enabling these countermeasures. I will then discuss the key solutions and future directions that my research will aim to uncover.
