Description
As the Department of Defense (DoD) moves into the implementation phase of the updated cyber workforce requirements, it's essential to equip your team with the step-by-step process needed to meet the impending deadlines. Join us for an interactive session designed to address your specific queries and provide a tailored discussion about putting 8140 to work. We will decipher work roles, explain how to navigate the marketplace, and provide qualification options from certification bodies and other entities. Matt Isnor, from the U.S. DoD, James Stanger from CompTIA, and Brian Correia from Sans GIAC will participate on the panel.
The DoD 8140 qualification program, which was initiated in February 2023, offers a comprehensive approach to managing cybersecurity workforce talent. It establishes baseline qualification standards aligned with operational requirements and workforce readiness. This program applies to all DoD personnel in cyberspace-related roles, including service members, DoD civilian employees, contractors, and foreign nationals, in accordance with the DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF).
