Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) is the Army's designated Primary Source for commercial IT. CHESS provides a no-fee flexible procurement strategy through which an Army user may procure commercial off the shelf (COTS) IT hardware, software and services. CHESS offers simple, straightforward contract vehicles through its online Army system, the IT e-mart.

  • U.S. Army Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems’ (PEO EIS) Enterprise Services Project Management Office — in partnership with Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) — today announced the consolidation of the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions 3 – Services (ITES-3S) and Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) follow-on contracts.  

    The newly merged contract, known as the Marketplace for the Acquisition of Professional Services (MAPS), will be a multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity acquisition vehicle that combines the strengths of ITES-3S and RS3, offering a more efficient and effective way for the Army, DOD and federal agencies to procure knowledge-based professional services.
