Mr. Keith Cantrell serves as the U.S. Army Cyber School (USCyS) Executive Strategic Writer. In this capacity he provides support for electromagnetic warfare (EW) as a subject matter expert and is the Total Army EW/C-EW Training and Education Strategy author. He assists the USCyS in research, planning, and strategic messaging for EW training and education programs.
Previously, Mr. Cantrell served as the Operations Chief for the Office Undersecretary of Defense Research and Engineering (OUSD R&E) 5G and Future G Experimentation. In this capacity he managed the daily activities and strategic communications for 5G experiments and technology advancement within ten tranche sites across all branches of service. His responsibilities for supporting the 5G experimentation effort advised senior leaders in the Department of Defense on capabilities to increase efficiencies in communications speed and increased data capacity from smart warehouses, mobile tactical command posts, and naval operations to installation training ranges.
Prior to this, Mr. Cantrell served as an EW Senior Analyst at the Army Capability Manager – Electromagnetic Warfare (ACM EW) identifying material requirements for capability development documents, mitigating EW capability gaps across the Army. He served over 23 years in the U.S. Army as an EW officer as a Division EWO and Headquarters Department of the Army Electronic Warfare Directorate as a policy writer. Other assignments included Comptroller / Resource Manager for Army Central Command – Saudi Arabia, and eight years as a Field Artilleryman. His operational deployments include Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq.
Mr. Cantrell has a Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Human Services, Master of Arts in Management, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is Distinguished Military Science graduate.
