Profile

I am Pouria Rad, a Graduate Research Assistant at Augusta University, specializing in Computer, Information, and Cyber Sciences. My academic journey has been diverse and enriching, beginning with a BSc in Computer Software Engineering from IAU, South Tehran Branch, followed by an MBA in Technological Entrepreneurship from the University of Tehran. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer and Cyber Sciences at Augusta University. My research interests are centered on Information Quality, Information Privacy, Security and Privacy, and Digital Forensics. I have been fortunate to contribute to these fields through various research projects and publications. Notably, I authored "From Seaweed to Security: The Emergence of Alginate in Compromising IoT Fingerprint Sensors," which was presented at the 19th International Conference on Availability, Reliability, and Security (ARES 2024). In addition to my published work, I have several papers under review. These include studies on the phenomenon of self-censorship on social media platforms, and the integration of blockchain in the sharing economy. My ongoing research endeavors also explore the dynamics of technology reward-based crowdfunding and the role of social support in online discussion forums.
