COL Gorman is the incoming Army Capability Manager for Electromagnetic Warfare at Fort Eisenhower, GA.
Colonel Leslie D. Gorman enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1992 and commissioned into the Military Intelligence branch through the Army’s Green-to-Gold program in 2000.
COL Gorman served as a MASINT Platoon Leader, a SIGINT Collection Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer and Battalion S1 during her time in the 201st MI Battalion at Fort Gordon, Georgia and Camp Doha, Kuwait (Forward). Upon completion of the MI Captain’s Career Course she was assigned to the 704th MI Brigade, Ft Meade, where she served at the National Security Agency (NSA) as a SIGINT Operations Officer and Company Commander. In 2006, she deployed as an Electronic Warfare and Operations officer numerous times to Iraq and Afghanistan throughout 2007-2008 to conduct SIGINT Terminal Guidance operations and technical evaluations. In 2009, COL Gorman deployed with I Corps to Iraq where she served as the SIGINT Advisor to the MNCI C2 and as the Single Source OIC at Fort Lewis, WA.
COL Gorman completed a three-year internship, the Junior Officer Cryptologic Career Program (JOCCP) with the National Security Agency. She served as Battalion S3 and SIGINT OIC for 719th MI Battalion, 501st MI Brigade, Field Station Korea. In 2014, COL Gorman served as the IROC Chief for Joint Force Headquarters-ARCYBER then served as the Brigade S3 for the 706th MI Brigade. COL Gorman served as the 03 National Cyber Protection Team Lead for Cyber National Mission Forces and Commander of the 2nd Cyber Battalion, U.S. Army Cyber Protection Brigade. In her current position, COL Gorman is the Director of Current Operations for ARCYBER.
COL Gorman’s awards include the Bronze Star, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal and the Joint Service Commendation Medal. She was awarded France’s National Defense Medal-Silver for her actions in Afghanistan.
Currently, COL Gorman is seeking a Master’s in Data Analytics with University of MarylandGlobal Campus. She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology, a Master’s in Cybersecurity and a Master’s in National Resource Strategy with a concentration in Data and Disruptive Technologies from the Eisenhower School, National Defense University.
