Profile
Gokila Dorai is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences at the Augusta University in Georgia. She received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Florida State University in December 2019. Her research is in digital forensics tool development for mobile and IoT devices using machine learning and AI. In 2016, Dr. Dorai received an MS degree in Computer Science from Florida State University. In 2007, she earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University.
Dr. Dorai has previously worked as a Software Engineer in a couple of Information Technology firms. Her interests include cybersecurity, forensic analysis, and article writing. She has won several awards and scholarships for academic excellence, visual arts, debates, leadership, and extra-curricular activities. She was invited as a speaker at various venues, including the Grace Hopper Conference, Techno Security Conference, and Digital Forensic Conference.
Dr. Dorai received the "Love of Learning Award" from Phi Kappa Phi, "International Graduate Scholar Award" from Upsilon Pi Epsilon, and "Golden Key Research Grant" from Golden Key Honor Society. The Center for the Advancement in Teaching at Florida State University recognized her for outstanding teaching. At Augusta University, CURS awarded her the High Five My Faculty Award to acknowledge the undergraduate student researchers' mentorship.
