Carrie McLeish currently serves as Director of Federal Capture at SANS Institute and has over 30 years of professional and leadership experience in cybersecurity, information technology, strategic planning and tactical operations for the Department of Defense. Prior to SANS, Carrie had cybersecurity roles at Akima and GDIT.
Ms. McLeish retired as a Chief Warrant Officer from Fort Gordon. She worked as Chief, Force Integration Officer Branch at the U.S. Army Cyber School, and prior to that as Senior Technical Advisor at the Cyber Center of Excellence. Her specialties include BS Computer Networks and Security, GCWN, GPEN, GSNA, GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, GPPA, PMP, ITIL Intermediate, AIOPC, CISSP, CEH, Security+.
Ms. McLeish is a subject matter expert in cybersecurity for Army networks and cyber as a warfighting domain; a hands-on technical leader managing personnel and diverse teams; and a collaborative problem-solver who is committed to developing innovative solutions and efficient management of resources.
