DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
U.S. Army Cyber Command

Profile

Colonel John Perrine is the Deputy Director of Operations, G-3, for ARCYBER. In this position, he is responsible for synchronizing, directing, and conducting operations of the Army’s portion of the Department of Defense Information Network, defensive cyberspace operations, and information advantage efforts.

Colonel Perrine has over 25 years of military experience, including multiple operational deployments. He has been assigned to numerous positions and locations, including Field Artillery assignments at the 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum and 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Benning, GA where he deployed to Kosovo and also commanded a battery during Operation Iraqi Freedom I.

COL Perrine transitioned to Information Operations in 2006. He served at the Division level with 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, TX / Operation Iraqi Freedom 06-08, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum / Operation Freedom Sentinel – Afghanistan, and most recently at the Corps level with the XVIIIth Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, NC / Operation Inherent Resolve. He also served as an IO Officer at Fort Leavenworth, KS as an IO Qualification Course Instructor, the lead non-lethal effects Observer-Controller-Trainer at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA, and served on the Army Staff in G-3/5/7 Electronic Warfare Division at the Pentagon.

Colonel Perrine has earned multiple badges and awards. His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Gonzaga University, a Masters of Arts in International Relations from Websters University, and a Masters in Strategic Studies for the United States Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, PA.
