Profile

The NETCOM Command Chief Warrant Officer (CCWO) and Senior Network Operations Technician is the primary technical advisor on all network and systems matters, specifically as it relates to strategic to tactical systems integration. The CCWO provides counsel and guidance to all Warrant Officers within NETCOM and subordinate units.

Paul Edward Sankey of Niceville, FL joined the Army Reserve in April 1986 as a Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic (MOS 63B). He transferred to Regular Army in March 1988 and served for four years in Germany with a deployment to Operation Desert Shield / Storm. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1992 and spent the next five years working as a civilian in Germany and attending college back in Florida. He re-enlisted in 1997 as a Signal Support Systems Specialist (MOS 31U). In 2002, SSG Sankey applied for Warrant Officer Candidate School and was appointed a Warrant Officer One on October 4, 2002. Upon graduation of the Signal Warrant Officer Basic Course in April 2003, he was awarded MOS 251A, Information Systems Technician.

His Warrant Officer assignments include: CSSAMO OIC, HHC/MMC 2ID DISCOM, Camp Casey, Korea; IMO, Area 4 Support Activity (IMCOM), Camp Carroll, Korea; Network Management OIC, 169th Sig Co, Camp Walker, Korea; RNOSC OIC and Sr Bn Net Tech, 36th Sig Bn, Camp Walker, Korea; CSSAMO Tech, 4th Sus Bde, Ft Hood, TX with a deployment to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; IA Officer, 106th Sig Bde, Ft Sam Houston, TX; G36 Compliance Division IA Tech Advisor and G33/ACOIC Tech Director, ARCYBER, Ft Belvoir, VA; Sr Tech Advisor, Cyber CDID, Ft Gordon, GA; and Command Chief Warrant Officer, Cyber COE, Ft Eisenhower, GA.

CW5 Sankey is a WOSSE Graduate and holds a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security (Summa Cum Laude) from UMUC. His professional certifications include CISSP, ITILv3 Expert, Security Plus and Network Plus.
