Profile

LTC Michael Lind commissioned as an Army officer immediately after the 9/11 attacks in 2001, from Norwich University - Military College of Vermont where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He was assigned to the 17th Aviation Brigade as the ammunition logistics officer in Yongsan, Korea. After 15 months, he returned to the U.S. as the XO, Bravo Company, 16th Ordnance Battalion, Aberdeen Md. Then, he spent two years as Aide-de-Camp to two Commanders of the Developmental Test Command under the Army Test and Evaluation Command.
He deployed to Kuwait as lead for the Tactical Wheeled Vehicle Research Team, earning the 2006 Army Acquisition Excellence Award. He then volunteered to go to Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Brigade as the 5th Iraqi Army Division Operations Advisor and Iraqi Bomb Disposal Advisor in the Diyala Province (the deadliest area in Iraq at the time). He later commanded Charlie Company, 73rd Ordnance Battalion, Fort Gordon, Ga.
LTC Lind served as the XO for PEO Ammunition and APM for Guided Precision Munitions and Mortar Systems, then deployed to Afghanistan managing the Advanced Precision Mortar Initiative program, and followed on with the Precision Armaments Technology Directorate in ARDEC.
In 2015, LTC Lind was selected as APM Electronic Warfare and Signals Intelligence within PM Special Programs, PEO Special Operations Forces (SOF) Warrior. He was awarded “Military Officer of the Year 2016” for PEO SOF-Warrior and selected for the Training With Industry program with Computer Sciences Corporation. His last assignment was as Acquisition Policy Integrator within DA Staff.
A distinguished graduate of the Army’s Command and General Staff College, he also holds an MBA with dual majors in strategy and leadership from Rutgers University, and a master’s degree in management from Florida Institute of Technology. He is a Program Management Professional (PMP), SOLE Demonstrated Master Logistician and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
