Profile

Mr. Adam J. Nucci assumed his present duties as the Deputy Director of Cyber, Electronic Warfare, and Information Operations, Headquarters Department of the Army G-3/5/7, in August 2018.

Before assuming this position, Mr. Adam J. Nucci was the Cyber Capabilities Technical Director in the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense’s C3CB Directorate. As the Technical Director, he led coordination, synchronization, and integration of operational cyber capabilities within the Office of the Secretary of Defense and alongside the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, the Intelligence Community, and the Armed Services. He was a recognized leader in development and implementation of strategy, new capability initiatives, planning, programming and forecasting disruptive capabilities. He served as USD (A&S) liaison to US Cyber Command, and led acquisition efforts to deliver cyberspace operations capabilities for Joint Urgent and Emerging Combatant Command Operational Needs.

He has served as the Associate Director for ISR and Cyber Issues in the Office of Joint Operations support where he acted as the OUSD (AT&L) lead on both the Battlespace Awareness and C4&Cyber Joint Staff functional capability boards, as an integrator of major budget issues for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Acquisition. Mr. Nucci also served as the Deputy Director for Technical Intelligence in the Office of the Director, Defense Research & Engineering where he led a multi-component, international, cross-intelligence team to measurably improve the effectiveness of S&T Intelligence.

Mr. Nucci holds an MSEE from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, a BSEE in Communication and Computers from the University of New Hampshire, a Minor in Philosophy, and attended the Federal Executive Institute LDS program. He has received numerous performance and special act awards including the Office of the Secretary of Defense Civilian Career Award.
