Brian Moore

In late 2014, Brian Moore was selected to be the President, EWA GSI after joining Electronic Warfare Associates as the Executive Director for Corporate Cyber Security Programs and completing a successful 30+ year career with the United States Army and retiring as a Colonel in the Army Signal Corps. He brings a wealth of experience in command, control, communications, computers and cyber operations at the tactical, operational and strategic levels. Brian retired in November 2012 after serving as the first Chief of Staff, US Army Cyber Command at Ft. Belvoir, VA where he was primarily responsible for establishing core staff capabilities and capacity in support of the evolving cyber mission for the US Army’s first cyber command in October 2010.

His principal assignments have been Fire Support Officer and Assistant Signal Officer, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment; Commander, 268th Tropo Company and assistant S-3 for 72nd Signal Battalion; Legislative Fellow to Congressman Jack Kingston (1-GA); Commander, 17th Signal Battalion; Legislative Assistant to the Vice Chief of Staff, Army; Commander, 1st Signal Brigade; Deputy CJ-6 Multi National Forces-Iraq; Director, Capabilities Development and Integration for the US Army Signal Center of Excellence and rounding out his career as the Chief of Staff, US Army Cyber Command.

His operational and combat tours include: combat parachute assault with 3rd Ranger Battalion in support of Operation JUST CAUSE, 72nd Signal Battalion in support of Operation PROVIDE COMFORT, commanded 17th Signal Battalion in support of expeditionary assault operations for Operation IRAQI FREEDOM I, and as the Deputy CJ-6 for MNFI in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from St. John Fisher College, a Master of Science Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Master of Science degree in National Security and Strategy from the National Defense University. Brian is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), a standing committee member on the AFCEA International Cyber Committee, and a member of the Board of Directors for International Test & Evaluation Association (ITEA).
