Lieutenant Colonel Ron Iammartino is a native of Staten Island, New York and enlisted in the Army Reserves in January 1997. He later received a commission as an active-duty Air Defense Artillery Officer and transferred to the Signal Corps in 2005.
LTC Iammartino currently serves as the Commander, 50th Signal Battalion, Fort Bragg, NC. He most recently served as an Action Officer, Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) J6, Coalition Interoperability Division, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Other previous assignments include: Platoon Leader, 1st Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, CO; S6, 3rd Battalion, 29th Field Artillery, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, CO & Iraq; Commander, Headquarters Company, IMCOM, Fort Monmouth, NJ; Assistant to the Director, JCS J6, Pentagon; Executive Officer to the Director, Architecture, Operations, Networks, & Space (AONS), Army CIO/G6, Pentagon; Aide-de-Camp to the Army Materiel Command (AMC) Deputy Commanding General, Redstone Arsenal, AL and Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; Assistant to the Commanding General, AMC, Redstone Arsenal, AL; S3 and later Executive Officer, 50th Signal Battalion, 35th Signal Brigade, Fort Bragg, NC; and JCS J6 Liaison to the CJCS Communications Team, Pentagon.
Military schools: the U.S Army Airborne School, the Air Defense Artillery (SHORAD) Officer's Basic Course, the Tactical Information Operations Course, the Signal Captain's Career Course, and the Intermediate Level Education Common Core and Qualification Course.
Civilian education: Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY, Master of Business Administration from Monmouth University in NJ, Master of Arts in Quantitative Methods from Columbia University in New York City, NY, and a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
