Profile

David Cerjan currently serves as Managing Director, National Security Group (NSG) within the Public Sector organization at Verizon Communications Inc. He leads the NSG for Verizon, which has responsibility for Verizon’s support to the US National Security entities along with key named Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) accounts. Prior to Verizon, he was the Senior Director for DoD and IC for Veritas Technologies. He has been associated with the Information Technology (IT) industry for over twenty-five years and prior to the IT industry, Cerjan came from a military background. He was commissioned in Military Intelligence from Washington State University where he achieved a BA in Business Management.

His early military assignments included working in Human Intelligence (HUMINT) in Germany, Central America as well as Desert’s Shield and Storm. During his HUMINT assignments, Cerjan also received his badge and credentials as a Counter-Intelligence Officer. He transitioned into a Combat Arms role within the US Army by attending the Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) course where he was then selected to attend and completed the Special Forces Qualification course where upon he was assigned to the 1st Battalion / 7th Special Forces Group.

Cerjan transitioned from the military into the private sector; first working in Sports Marketing and Management and then moving into the IT field at Oracle Corporation during the height of the Internet and Online explosion. Following the creation of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (USDI), Cerjan worked for the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence as part of the Defense Sensitive Support (DSS) Program supporting OEF and OIF Special Operation Missions.

After leaving the DSS role, he returned to the IT industry and through his time at Oracle, Infodata, Adobe and Cisco; Cerjan has amassed over 25 years of experience in leadership, operations, sales, marketing, and strategic planning supporting the DoD and IC with high-technology companies.

Cerjan also leads a non-profit organization called FaithWalk International, which provides faith- based leadership for the marketplace and young-adults that corresponds with trips to Israel. Mr. Cerjan is married to the former Amy Rawlings and has a 5-yr old daughter named Gabriella and a 1-yr old daughter named Tabitha.
