Master Chief Nagle, a native of Conesus, NY, entered the U.S. Navy in September 1989 and attended his initial training at Recruit Training Command, San Diego, CA.
Nagle’s sea duty and overseas duty assignments include: Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron Two (VQ-2) in Rota, Spain; Submarine Direct Support at Naval Security Group Activity, Pearl Harbor, HI; Joint Analysis Center, Molesworth, UK; and USS MITSCHER (DDG 57).
Nagle’s shore duty assignments include: Cryptologic Technician (Technical) “A” school in Pensacola, FL; National Security Agency, Fort Meade, MD; Naval Security Group Activity Fort Meade, MD; Navy Information Operations Command Norfolk; and on the staffs of U.S. SECOND Fleet and U.S. Fleet Forces Command.
Nagle was selected for the Command Master Chief (CMC) Program in 2013 and subsequently served as CMC of USS VELLA GULF (CG 72) from July 2013 to June 2016; CMC of Information Warfare Training Group Norfolk from June 2016 to July 2018; and Region CMC of Naval District Washington from August 2018 to January 2020. He is currently serving as the CMC of Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. TENTH Fleet/U.S. Navy Space at Ft. Meade, MD.
Nagle has been on teams that have been awarded the Joint Meritorious Unit Citation, Navy Unit Citation, Meritorious Unit Citation, and Battle Efficiency Award.
Master Chief Nagle is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 143 (Grey Group), the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course, the MCPON Executive Leadership Symposium, the KEYSTONE Command Senior Enlisted Leader in Combined and Joint Studies Course, and the Navy Senior Leader Seminar. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Excelsior College.
