Marcus Neal

Profile

Mr. Marcus Neal is a United States Air Force (USAF) Veteran and has been an Information Technology (IT) professional for over 20 years. Mr. Neal entered into the USAF through Memphis, TN on July 23, 1997, as a truck driver. While stationed in Onizuka Air Station, CA, Mr. Neal was introduced to Silicon Valley’s emerging technology, igniting his passion for IT.

Mr. Neal is currently the Enterprise Architect directly supporting the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). As Enterprise Architect, he leads a team of Architects and Engineers spanning the globe enabling the War Fighter and 76,000 users. As part of his responsibilities, he analyzes the enterprise performances, implements new technology solutions, and guides the Enterprise Distributed Datacenters standardization.

Mr. Neal completed multiple overseas assignments while in the U.S. Air Force and as U.S. defense contractor. Duty locations include Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia; Incirlik Air Base, Turkey; Sigonella Naval Air Station, Sicily; Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar; 8th Main Jet Base, Turkey. He is also a combat veteran with support to Operation Southern Watch, Operation Northern Watch, Operation Iraq Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Northern Deterrent.

Mr. Neal has multiple college degrees, three from the Community College of the Air Force and 32 IT certifications. He is now working on his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Mr. Neal was raised in the great state of Mississippi by his wonderful foster parent, Ms. Fannie Mae Jones (1929 - 2012) in which he contributes his success. Mr. Neal is married to Atoya Neal for 22 years and has a son, Trevante, who is now Active Duty USAF stationed at Yokota Air Base Japan.

Mr. Neal is an AFCEA 40 under 40 winner 2018 and a member of Free and Accepted Masons.
