Gunnery Sgt. Eric Quesada assumed his current role of operations superintendent, Joint Staff Support Center, Defense Information Systems Agency J-6 March 31, 2025. In this position, he is responsible for the National Military Command Center Operations Division Mission Support Branch’s mission to support the 24/7 operations conducted by the communications watch office supporting the National Joint Operations and Intelligence Center.
Quesada joined the Marine Corps February 9th, 2009, attending recruit training out of Marine Corps Recruit Training Depot in San Diego. He was awarded the military occupational specialty of data network specialist upon completion of his technical school at Marine Corps Communication-Electronics School in 29 Palms, California. Quesada’s first duty assignment was with Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Marine Detachment Camp in Pendleton, California, where he was assigned as a technician and would go on to serve as the automatic data processing office non-commissioned officer in charge. He was then assigned to 9th Communications Battalion in 2012, where he first served as a Charlie Company data platoon NCOIC, before being assigned to 9th Comm’s Joint Task Force Enabler which would go on to deploy with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit as the S-6 section platoon sergeant in 2015. In 2016, Quesada completed the Basic Recruiters Course prior to being assigned to recruiting duty in Recruiting Sub-Station in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. After completing recruiting duty in 2019, he was stationed with 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines in Houston as the data chief for the inspector instructor staff. While assigned to 1/23, Quesada returned to 29 Palms to complete the Data Chief’s Course earning him the data systems chief MOS. In 2023, he joined DISA JSSC where he assumed the role of NCOIC for one of the teams on the communications watch floor, prior to being moved to his current position within the command.
Quesada’s awards and decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and The Marine Corps Recruiting Ribbon.
