Jonathan Tame currently serves as the Principal Advisor on Cloud to the Department of Defense Deputy Chief Information Officer for the Information Enterprise (DCIO IE) and the Principal Advisor on Digital Modernization to the Office of the Secretary of Defense Chief Information Officer (OSD CIO).
In these roles, Jonathan is at the forefront of cloud modernization efforts across the Department of Defense. He develops strategies to accelerate the adoption of cloud technology, ensuring seamless and secure data use, enhancing operational advantages, and supporting a resilient IT foundation for current and future warfighters. Jonathan’s work involves crafting comprehensive policies and frameworks that guide the transition to cloud infrastructure, addressing challenges related to security, interoperability, and scalability, and ensuring alignment with the Department’s broader IT goals.
Prior to these roles, Jonathan most recently served as the Senior Advisor to the Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability (JWCC) Program Management Office (PMO), the $9B Enterprise Cloud Contract for the DoD. His career spans over 25 years of driving innovation, strategic growth, and modernization in roles that include Vice President of Strategy and Innovation, Chief Strategy Officer, and Chief of Force Modernization across the private sector, federal government, and the US military. He currently resides in Alexandria, VA with his wife, young daughter, and their energetic rescue dogs.
