Please join us for an informational session on the Department of Defense (DoD) Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Program. CMMC is a key component of DoD’s efforts to improve defense industrial base (DIB) cybersecurity. CMMC is a consistent pre-award assessment methodology that ensures prospective contractors have implemented required cybersecurity protections and can adequately safeguard DoD sensitive unclassified information. DoD will begin its phased implementation of mandatory CMMC assessment requirements in DoD solicitations 60 days after the CMMC final acquisition rule in Title 48 of the Code of Federal Regulations is published to the Federal Register. Until such time, completion of CMMC self and third-party assessments is voluntary. The DoD is committed to ensuring that industry and DoD requiring activities understand CMMC requirements and are prepared for program implementation. Ms. Stacy Bostjanick, Chief of DIB Cybersecurity in the Office of the DoD Chief Information Officer, will provide an overview of the CMMC Program, explain the Department’s plans for implementation, and provide resources for organizations seeking CMMC certification.
