Profile
Mr. Kalka is the Director for the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3)/DoD-Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Collaborative Information Sharing Environment (DCISE). In this role, he is responsible for cybersecurity threat information sharing, DIB engagement activities, and cybersecurity services for a public-private partnership supporting over 1,100 defense contractors. He has driven improvements and innovations resulting in increased collaboration, insight and action for both the DIB and the DoD, and stronger defense of DoD data residing in DIB networks.
Before joining DC3, Mr. Kalka held a variety of IT/Cyber roles in the US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), culminating in an assignment as the Senior Cyber Professional Advisor to the Commanding General. He holds a Master of Science degree in Government Information Leadership from National Defense University, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Mr. Kalka lives in Maryland with one great wife, two great kids, and spends his limited spare time as an unprofessional musician.
