Jefferson (Jeff) Marshall is a member of the Senior Executive Service and currently serves as the Acting Director for the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) J-9 Hosting and Compute (HaC) Directorate.
In this role, Mr. Marshall is responsible for overseeing DISA’s portfolio of hybrid hosting and compute capabilities and solutions. The HaC leverages industry best practices to drive unification for hosting and
compute platforms, create optionality for our customers, and provide hybrid cloud solutions globally to the warfighter to win. Most recently, Mr. Marshall served as the J-9 HaC Vice Director, and previously, as the Global Cloud Platform Director at Virtustream-Dell Technologies where he directed global teams, complex public cloud architectures, deployments, delivery services, and operations for government agencies and international customers, including Fortune 50 members, national healthcare providers, and a national train
system. He played a pivotal role in transforming his department’s culture from start-up to high performing IT services management operations that excelled at stability, security, efficiency, and most importantly customer satisfaction. Mr. Marshall started his career as a soldier and non-commissioned officer in the United States Army, serving for 12 years, including in Desert Storm. Mr. Marshall started his IT professional career with FICO, the credit score company. He next took an IT management role at Regulus, a billing processing provider that at one time touched every penny of every dollar transaction in the United States. At Regulus,
Mr. Marshall self-learned computer virtualization and catapulted the company into the era of VMware virtualization and millions of dollars in infrastructure cost savings. When not leading IT organizations, he
enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife. They can be found running, playing tennis, or tackling extreme mountain bike trails together.
