Jared Sanders serves as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist in the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Emerging Technology Directorate. In his current role, Mr. Sanders is focused on developing artificial intelligence strategy and solutions to enable the workforce, specializing in process innovation, working backwards from mission outcomes, and delivering emerging technologies.
Prior to joining DISA, Mr. Sanders spent over 13 years supporting the DoD technology environment concentrating on strategic planning and delivering next generation services. This includes his role as a Senior Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he led technical solutioning for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter account, and 11 years supporting major programs at DISA as a contractor.
While supporting F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, Mr. Sanders enabled adoption of Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability (JWCC) by leading the feasibility study. He elevated the Amazon WorkSpaces customer experience by leading architecture workshops and partnering with the service team to accelerate feature parity.
Additionally, Mr. Sanders led the development of the DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture, led the development of DISA’s Software Defined Enterprise Global Orchestrator Architecture, developed Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and supported engineering of DoD Enterprise Email.
Mr. Sanders has a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the York College of Pennsylvania.
