Profile

Ms. Kimberly Keys has 25 years of industry and cross-agency government experience in knowledge management and currently serves as the National Security Agency’s (NSA) CKO, where she leads the transition to a knowledge-driven enterprise. Most recently, Ms. Keys led the development and operation of enterprise knowledge authoring and dissemination capabilities, which support NSA and its partners.

Prior to this, Ms. Keys served as the senior staff officer in support of the Director and Principal Deputy for National Intelligence’s initiative, the Intelligence Community Information Technology Environment (IC ITE), which transitioned mission elements of the Intelligence Community (IC) to the integrated technology environment. In this capacity, she advised and led knowledge management methods that drove cross-agency mission adoption of a common technology platform that improved intelligence integration.

As a Senior Knowledge Strategist, Ms. Keys drove knowledge plans, policies, and analytic tools for the Defense Intelligence Agency across its global enterprise. She facilitated the re-posture of the All Source Analysis program and foundational military intelligence during the transition from the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) to emerging state actor competition in her role as the Principal Investigator/Knowledge Management for the Defense Intelligence Analysis Review Team for the Under Secretary of Defense – Intelligence (USD (I)).

Ms. Keys began her KM career as an all source intelligence analyst in counterterrorism (CT) leading knowledge-driven, CT analytic and operational approaches in the Joint Intelligence Task Force – Combating Terrorism (JITF-CT), which fostered her continued and enduring passion for mission-focused knowledge management.
