Profile

Mr. Mike Kitchens is the Chief of KM Concepts and Doctrine for the Army Knowledge Management Proponent office at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. He is a retired Army Intelligence Officer with a special functional area of Information Operations Officer (FA-30). He has served at division and higher levels as a Knowledge Management Officer. Since 2011, he has overseen the development of three doctrinal publications on implementing knowledge management techniques and has worked with the Army Research Institute (ARI) on the topic of learning organizations. His latest doctrinal publication, ATP 6-01.1 Knowledge Management (2024), includes a discussion on learning organizations and how Army units can be more effective at it.
