Profile
Rebecca DeForest is the Senior Resource Officer in the Office of Principal Cyber Advisor to the Secretary of the Army and the Army Chief of Staff. She is responsible for advising on matters pertaining to the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of cyberspace activities for the Army.
Prior to this role she served on Active Duty as an Operations Research Analyst for the HQDA Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6, leading information technology resourcing strategy to modernize the Army’s network and cyberspace efforts. Previously she served in Congressional Liaison roles at US Cyber Command and HQDA and as a UH-60 Blackhawk Pilot. She continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel (Promotable) in the US Army Reserve.
Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; a Master’s Certificate in Acquisition and Contracting from American Graduate University; and a Master’s degree in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University.
