John D. Baase is the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Identity, Credential and Access Management program manager, bringing a strong technical understanding and prior program management experience.
In 2004, Baase enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in South Korea with the 275th Signal Company. After departing the Army, he joined the United Services Organization - Korea as the country wide program manager providing services to active-duty military and their families. By 2010 he transitioned to IT contracting in Korea, supporting 403rd Army Field Support Battalion – Northeast Asia, U.S. Forces Korea J-6 Joint Network Operation Control Center, and United Nations Command – Military Armistice Commission before joining the civil service.
Baase joined the civil service with the 173rd Airborne Infantry Brigade Combat Team in Vicenza, Italy, serving many roles. Most notably, managing long term, complex projects that equipped the war fighter with robust and agile IT assets, raising their combat lethality. Before leaving the 173rd to join DISA, Baase was awarded the Army Commander’s Award for Civilian Service.
