Profile

Christopher Pymm is the portfolio manager for the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Zero Trust program and is the division chief for DISA’s Program Executive Office (PEO) Cyber Directorate.
As PEO Cyber division chief, Pymm directly manages the portfolio of Zero Trust enabling technologies including Thunderdome. This includes all personnel, budgetary decisions, capability roadmap decisions and Department of Defense integration of this critical initiative.
Pymm has over 30 years of information technology management experience in several emerging technologies including big data, analytics, and identity management. His prior experience in leadership includes executive level support for both the deputy director for DISA’s Enterprise Integration and Innovation Center and the deputy director of Emerging Technology. These positions enabled senior level leadership experience in personnel, finances, programmatic and innovation choices for DISA and frequently the Department of Defense at large. Prior assignments include managing multiple divisions for DISA’s Cyber Directorate.
From 1993 to 2003, Pymm served in the United States Air Force where he was fortunate to support several critical weapon systems including the Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS) computer system and cryptographic support for the early warning radar system for Iceland. Prior to joining DISA in 2010, he was the program manager for an information technology support contract that provided services for the 25,000 personnel at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. His team was responsible for every facet of that support including desktop, server, application, and information security support.
Pymm received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland University College in 2004. He was competitively selected by DISA leadership to attend the Eisenhower School, National Defense University completing the program in June of 2018 where he received his Master of Science in National Resource Strategy.
