Dan Andrew

Systems Architect

Profile

Mr. Dan Andrew is a Systems Architect with the Army CECOM Software Engineering Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. In this role he oversees a systems view of how SEC's people, processes and equipment combine to perform the software sustainment mission. Dan focuses on identifying and implementing changes to improve the software readiness of fielded systems.

Mr. Andrew has over 30 years of experience operating, developing and sustaining defense software systems.

After receiving his commission from the United States Coast Guard Academy, he spent six years on active duty, serving two tours afloat on Coast Guard buoy tenders and one tour at Coast Guard Headquarters. In 1998, Dan left the Coast Guard and began 10 years working for industry in various software engineering and systems analyst roles supporting the Navy and Army.

Dan returned to government service in 2009 as a software project manager for the Army Installation Management Command. In 2010, he joined CECOM SEC where he has served in multiple software project management and engineering positions including three years as Chief Engineer for SEC's IEW&S Directorate.

Mr. Andrew earned a Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical and Computer Sciences with Honors from the United States Coast Guard Academy.
