Profile
Mr. Raju Shah serves as the Senior Technologist and Director of Enterprise Engineering and Governance for the Defense Information Systems Agency. In this role, he is the principal advisor to the agency on Enterprise Engineering and Governance (OE). He leads OE in support of DISA operations with a focus on end-user experience through end-to-end engineering and disciplined governance across the agency.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Shah was the Deputy Director and Program Manager of the DISA National Background Investigation Services. He also served as the civilian deputy for DISA’s Services Directorate and was responsible for optimal and rapid delivery solutions for mission-critical enterprise and tactical systems across the warfighter, business, and intelligence mission areas leveraging the enterprise user vision including converting the data centers into a line of business ecosystems. Through his guidance, Mr. Shah received 2021 Directorate of the Year, as he helped form and maintain partnerships with policy and congressional staffs, and efficiently utilized resources meeting or exceeding agency objectives.
Before joining DISA, Mr. Shah was the Deputy Chief Information Officer with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service’s (FSS), where he received the 2019 Service to the Citizen Champion of Change award. During his time at the USDA, Mr. Shah served as the Acting CIO - Senior Leadership Advisor and Data Scientist.
Mr. Shah began his federal career with NASA, where he served as the Chief of the Information and Applications Office, where he maintained oversite over NASA’s information management, applications, scientific computing, and visualization portfolios.
