Profile

Raju Shah is currently a Senior Technologist assigned to the Enterprise Integration and Innovation Center as the Director for the Enterprise Engineering Directorate. Mr. Shah is responsible for driving overall end-to-end technology and standardization through integrated engineering, automation, and information process engineering for DISA.

Before joining as a Senior Technologist at DISA, Mr. Shah was the Deputy Chief Information Officer with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service’s (FSS) and received Service to the Citizen Champion of Change 2019 Award. He also held the role of Acting CIO and detailed into SL position as the Senior Advisor – Data Scientist. Prior to this position, Mr. Shah was

the Deputy Director and Program Manager of the DISA’s National Background Investigation Services. Before these roles, Mr. Shah was the Civilian Deputy for DISA’s Services Directorate and was responsible for optimal and rapid delivery solutions for mission-critical enterprise and tactical systems across the Warfighter, Business, and Intelligence mission areas leveraging the enterprise user vision including converting the data centers into a line of business ecosystems. Through his guidance, Mr. Shah met the Agency’s objectives and formed and maintained partnerships with policy and congressional staffs, and efficiently utilized resources. He received Directorate of the Year award along with Mr. Martin.

Mr. Shah began his federal career with NASA, where he served as the Chief of the Information and Applications Office, overseeing Information Management, Applications, Scientific Computing, and Visualization portfolios. He was selected as a Deputy Chief Information Officer in February 2015 and posted at the John H. Glenn Research Center. He has received NASA's prestigious Silver Achievement medal. Shah also worked in the academic realm. He held the title of Director of Information Technology at the University of Maryland College Park (UMD) and led a variety of projects including IT consolidation initiatives, Business Continuity, VoIP installations, High- Performance Computing/Research Computing, and the development of IT governance standards.

Mr. Shah holds Master of Science in Information Systems and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degrees. Mr. Shah resides with his family in Maryland.
