Profile

Ms. Laura Herbertson currently serves as the Division Chief and Deputy Program Manager for the Fourth Estate Network Optimization (4ENO) for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Defense Enclave Services Directorate (FE). Ms. Herbertson is an experienced program manager, specializing in complex acquisition programs and services.

She began her career with government service working as a mechanical engineer in small caliber ammunition within the Army Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) at Picatinny Arsenal. She held several roles including materiel developer, system engineer, and project lead for a variety of ammunition efforts under PEO Soldier Weapons.

Ms. Herbertson began her career at DISA in 2011 and has served within a variety of roles, including project manager for Pacific Enterprise Services – Hawaii, Deputy Program Manager for Global Network Services contract, an analyst for the Executive Deputy Director’s Office, Acquisition Division Chief for the National Background Investigation System (NBIS), and the Deputy Program Manager for Global Command and Control System – Joint.

She received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University. That was followed by a Masters of Business Administration from Florida Institute of Technology.

Ms. Herbertson has also successfully completed the DISA Senior Leader Program 2016, and the Defense Acquisition University Level III Certifications in Program Management and Engineering.

She is the recipient of Commander’s Award for Civilian Service, and served as the Deputy Program Manager when the 4ENO received DISA’s 2019 Outstanding Non-Technical Program/Project of the Year.

Ms. Herbertson currently resides in Fulton, Maryland with her husband and children.
