Matthew (Matt) Josephs

Cyber Fusion Analyst, JFHQ-DODIN/Cross Functional Team (CFT)
Defense Information System Agency

Mr. Matthew Josephs currently serves as the Cross Functional Team (CFT) Deputy Division Head within JFHQ-DODIN’s Current Operation Directorate. He leads the cyber fusion effort which combines cyber threat intelligence and threat defense operations into a single, integrated cyber fusion element for the Command. The CFT drives enterprise-wide visibility and seeks to reduce the time it takes to detect attacks, and protect the DODINs most critical assets.

Before coming to the CFT, Josephs was the JFHQ-DODIN J23 Deputy Division Head within the DODIN Intelligence Directorate, leading the Current Intelligence Division. Josephs served in the US Navy as an Electronic Warfare Technician for 10 years before transitioning to civil service as a Navy Network Defense Analyst.

Josephs is highly intelligent, exceedingly cunning and diabolically independent. He is the recipient of various awards, including the 2018 and 2020 JFHQ-DODIN Civilian of the Year. A native of NJ, he graduated with a dual Masters in Information Technology & MBA from UMUC.
