Clinton Austin is a US Air Force Veteran and has been a collaborative Information Technology expert for over 19 years. He continually displays professionalism, high skill level and the ability to adapt and overcome any obstacles presented to him. Throughout his career, he has provided IT consulting to small businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and the Department of Defense by offering services ranging from business development, IT strategy, database development, custom application development, IT process improvement, and online marketing.

Clinton’s current role is a Business Development Principal at Jacobs, where his responsibilities include capture and proposal management of large IT services contracts, establishing IT strategies and win themes, identifying key personnel, and production of technical research.

Previously, Clinton was a data architect for United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) where he ushered efforts to implement a Big Data strategy. He did this by leading in-depth technology discussions, articulating the business value of system design, and how the data will flow through stages. He also addressed issues of data migration (validation, clean-up, and mapping) and defined data dictionaries.

Clinton has authored several white papers. In his recent white paper, he defined changes in Microsoft's SQL Licensing Model and identified cost-saving measures that USSOCOM implemented. The same implementation improved the command's disaster recovery posture and ensured the continuity of operations process (COOP), eliminating unexpected downtimes.

Before becoming the data architect, Clinton was a Service Delivery Coordinator. Directly supporting the Planning and Engineering Branch, he delivered innovative solutions for systems development, business process improvement, strategic planning, operation support, and enterprise transformation for over 71,000 users around the world.
