Mr. Jevon Pinard was born in Brooklyn, NY. He is the third of four siblings and has served as an active duty enlisted member in the U.S. Army (USA) for five years. During that time, he would become a data systems team chief.
After leaving the USA, Mr. Pinard has served in various roles in IT as both a Government Civilian and Department of Defense (DoD) Contractor. His previous responsibilities included engineering and administration of all storage area networks within an organization back up policy and Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP). Mr. Pinard also had the additional duty of managing personnel and process improvement as a program manager responsible for directing team project managers whose projects ranged from IT implementation to building construction.
Currently, Mr. Pinard is a Storage Architect for HQ U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). As the subject matter expert in an enterprise of approximately 76,000 users, his duties include shaping the governing policies on future infrastructure implementation. Other responsibilities include assessing emerging technologies based on SOCOM’s vision that fits in the Command’s transition/migration plans. Data management tactics and process recommendations are also a principal mandate for Jevon as he resides in this role. One of the more seminal roles Mr. Pinard has played in the organization is educating personnel on the importance of independent data pools and how good process can save time, money, and effort in the overall mission.
Mr. Pinard has a Master’s degree in Information Systems Management with a concentration in Project Management from American Intercontinental University. He also has several certifications in storage, networking, data management, business continuity, and IT security.
