PROFESSIONAL DATA: Al Smith joined the US Army in 1984 and earned an Associate’s degree in Computer Science from Cameron University in 1995, Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at Touro University in 2005, DAWIA Level 3, Life Cycle Logistics in 2010 and U.S. Army Acquisition Corps in 2011.
MILITARY SERVICE: After 20 years in the US Army, Al Smith retired as a Senior Automotive Maintenance Warrant Officer in 2004.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Al Smith worked as an Assistant Program Manager at Aberdeen Test Support Services, Jacobs Engineering from 2004-2008. ILS Evaluator at Army Evaluation Center, Army Test & Evaluation Command from 2008-2011, ILS Manager, PM Joint Battle Command-Platform (aka Blue Force Tracker), PEO C3T from 2011-2014, Product Support Manager, Mobility PMO, DISA from 2014-2017. Product Support Manager, PdM Tactical Mission Command, PEO C3T from 2017-2018. Currently works at DISA as the DMUC Program Manager providing support to the Mobility PMO.
