Continuing Education (CE)

Our Continuing Education (CE) program is designed to support certifications related to U.S. Federal Government requirements. Several sessions at MILCOM are approved to meet CompTIA and/or GIAC continuing education requirements and may also support (ISC)2, National Contract Management Association (NCMA), Project Management Institute (PMI), GAGAS, and Defense Acquisition Workforce continuing education and/or certification maintenance requirements.

Three Easy Steps to Formal Attendance Documentation:

  1. Join or Renew: If you are not already a current member, visit the AFCEA or IEEE ComSoc booth to join or renew your membership.
  2. Attend and Participate: Attend the entire session, which must be at least one hour in length, including Q&A, to qualify for CEUs or CPEs. Participate fully by asking questions and contributing to the dialogue.
  3. Scan Your Badge: Staff members are positioned at the exits to scan your event badge at the end of the session.

Please note: To ensure the integrity of the documentation process, we must adhere to these attendance and scanning policies. We cannot grant exceptions without risking accreditation for the entire continuing education program.

Attendance documentation is only provided if your badge is scanned upon exiting at the end of the session. Non-members and members who did not have their badges scanned at the close of a session may prepare their documentation by using the description available on each session website page.
