Continuing Education

Reviewing Organizations

AFCEA’s Continuing Education (CE) program is designed to support certifications related to U.S. Federal Government requirements. Several TechNet Augusta 2022 sessions will be reviewed by CompTIA, GIAC and CertNexus to determine if the sessions meet continuing education requirements for certification maintenance. Sessions may also support (ISC)2, National Contract Management Association (NCMA), Project Management Institute (PMI), GAGAS, and Defense Acquisition Workforce continuing education and/or certification maintenance requirements.

Formal attendance documentation is a benefit of AFCEA membership and a service provided to attendees who purchased a continuing education (CE) pass for the event. Participation in an event session qualifying for CompTIA CEUs, GIAC CPEs and/or CertNexus CECs is required. On exiting the session, get your event badge scanned so that we can document your attendance.

As a ramp-up to AFCEA International's TechNet Augusta 2022 (August 15-18, 2022, in Augusta, Georgia), SIGNAL Media hosts four webinars featuring experts from the Cyber and Signal schools of the U.S. Army's Cyber Center of Excellence who will highlight the latest from the CCoE, and experts from the Army CIO/Command, Control, Communications, Cyber Operations and Networks, or G6. Registration is free and a single registration grants access to all four sessions. Participants may attend each webinar live and interact with the event's speakers and partners or view the webinars on demand post broadcast. The first webinar, "Game Changer: Operationalizing Cybersecurity" Wednesday, July 13 | 1 PM ET has been approved for 1 GIAC CPE.

Parsons is hosting an International Military & Collegiate Capture the Flag (CTF) Competition, May 10, 2022 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM. The competition is approved for continuing education. Participants will need to prepare their own attendance documentation. Advanced registration is required.”

In conjunction with TechNet Augusta CompTIA plans to offer a mini bootcamp.  The session will be related to fulfilling the five DoD data decrees and will qualify for CompTIA CEUs. The plan for the mini bootcamp includes enough discussion of topics relating to the Data+ certification to help attendees determine whether they should pursue that certification. The bootcamp is scheduled for August 17, 2022 at 2:30 PM and will be available onsite at TechNet Augusta and online. We will post more info and a registration link when we have the appropriate information.
