Continuing Education
Reviewing Organizations
AFCEA’s Continuing Education (CE) program is designed to support certifications related to U.S. Federal Government requirements. Several TechNet Indo-Pacific Spring 2022 sessions will be reviewed by CompTIA, GIAC and CertNexus to determine if the sessions meet continuing education requirements for certification maintenance. Sessions may also support (ISC)2, National Contract Management Association (NCMA), Project Management Institute (PMI), GAGAS, and Defense Acquisition Workforce continuing education and/or certification maintenance requirements.
For in-person sessions, formal attendance documentation is a benefit of AFCEA membership and a service provided to attendees who purchased a continuing education (CE) pass for the event. Participation in an event session qualifying for CompTIA CEUs, GIAC CPEs and/or CertNexus CECs is required. On exiting the session, get your event badge scanned so that we can document your attendance.
Parsons will offer two capture the flag (CTF) competitions, one for Middle/High School level and one for Military/Collegiate level. Advanced registration is required. For info and registration for the Military/Collegiate event, please see the flyer. Check back for info about the Middle/High School level CTF session. Both sessions have been approved for continuing education in support of cybersecurity certification maintenance.
For on-demand sessions, You may prepare your attendance documentation using your name and registration receipt, the link to the session information, the event name, session name, session description and additional detail such as session length and speaker info. Please check with applicable certifying organizations for their specific requirements. This guidance applies to live streamed and on-demand sessions. https://www.afcea.org/site/?q=CE-FAQ.
