NetQuest’s OMX3200 is a Cyber Appliance that sits upstream from Cyber Defense and Analytics Tools. It performs an advanced packet processing function which removes headers and strips tunnels to reveal user packets buried deep within networks. The packets are then optimized and delivered to downstream tools for threat detection and mitigation purposes.
The OMX can also generate unsampled metadata flows for 10G and 100G links. There is recent increase in the use of unsampled metadata to combat the new low and slow cyber threats which often go undetected if sampled metadata flows are used. The OMX is architected using the very latest FPGA technology which allows the ability to efficiently process data at line rate and at scale when networks migrate to 100G.
